What is RAW?

RAW files are files that contain unprocessed data created and captured using a digital camera’s sensors. They ensure a high level of image detail and lossless quality. Before using RAW files, they must be imported into appropriate software for editing or exporting as a different raster image file, such as PNG or JPG.  RAW format is often called ‘digital negative’ because it constitutes the ingredients of a photo needed for processing to produce a picture’s full potential.

.DXF

What is DXF?

The Drawing Interchange Format (DXF) is a CAD data file format developed by Autodesk to enable data interoperability between AutoCAD and other software. It is used by engineers, designers, architects, and other professionals to store and exchange both 2D and 3D design data. DXF format can store detailed vector graphics information, including metadata, making them suitable for sharing complex design information across different CAD systems. Unlike DWG, DXF is an open standard, facilitating broader accessibility. DXF files can be saved in either ASCII or binary formats, with the ASCII version being larger but more readable and easier to debug. However, due to their detailed nature, DXF file types can be relatively large and less suitable for web applications than compressed formats.

STEP 2: Download the converted file and save on PC

After converting the RAW file, Download the DXF file and save it in the default folder for all your downloads on the desktop or mobile.

Why Convert RAW to DXF?

One of the advantages of the DXF format is its strong compatibility with various CAD software applications, particularly in engineering, architecture, and design. DXF files are used for vector-based designs and technical drawings, making them ideal for tasks involving precise measurements and plans. The main disadvantage of RAW files is that they are large and specific to cameras, making them unsuitable for direct use in many general-purpose applications.
